OEM bolts are simply amazing. By the time you finish the final tq, your head becomes one with the block lol. If I ever have an issue with my ARP's ill use brand new OEM bolts.

Just as reference, my oem bolts are torqued to 115 ft/lbs.. I thought it was worth checking during the sequence and so that I could verify the bolts at the same torque.

^interesting.

did you get 115 with moly lube or? because i know with reg oil, ARP's are torqued to like 120 or something as well.

so ARP and the oem bolts are torqued to the same settings. only with oem, it uses degree-ing to get to the final torque and motor oil to lube.

well at least everything is consistent.

When using oil when torquing the bolts/studs, do they squeak or make any sort of noise? I know with moly lube its very smooth until the final torque, but I've never tried with oil. Just curious.

So are ARP studs really needed? Why not just use OEM bolts...

How so? its not just torquing them down? I would have thought the arp ones would have been harder
