thinking about upping the boost
I have a CTSC with aftercool. I also have a larger air to water radiator, test pipe, SOS clutch, and comptech exhaust along with a boost and wideband gauge. I am using the stock pulley. When I installed the kit I had a local shop adjust the car with the FPR to insure I wasn't going to harm the engine. I have since then bought a vafc2 (haven't used it yet) and had planed to eventually have a shop use it to tune the car on a dyno. The car defiantly feels like it could benefit from a tune and the AFRs could be set a lot better.
If I brought it to get a tune I think I would first want to put in step colder plugs (I had just replaced them with the standard plugs when I put the blower in) and clean the injectors since they are being pushed so hard.
I am however thinking twice. At this point with how much I have invested, I feel that if I am going to get a tune and clean the injectors that I might as well just sell my piggyback and get a full stand alone (AEM EMS)along with some bigger injectors. This of course in addition to a smaller pulley. I figured that if buying the EMS used I could get all this for under $1000 and net close to 100RWHP if not more than my current non tuned stock set up. not to mention I could sell my piggy back.
I am just concerned with the stock injectors being pushed to hard on my current set up especially being 10 years old. In addition I am doubting the vafc2's ability to be of much help even if I am still on the stock pulley. But if I make the investment with the stand alone and injectors I feel like I might as well add more boost if I can easily support it.
So my question is what do you think is best to do? I want a reliable set up and a tune either way. I just don't want to go in and get a tune only to decide a month later to go back in with a full stand alone and do it again with more boost. I would be happy with a reliable 300RWHP set up but I had always planed on eventually getting to around 380ish RWHP when I went FI.
Also, would I need anything else if I wanted to add more boost? Also how much boost do you think I would need with my set up to reach 380RWHP and would it be reliable?

I would definitely get the aem ems, ID1000cc injectors and a smaller pulley and tune. It will be worth it for sure! Just did that recently myself and best money I have spent on my car yet.
Yeah I was planning on getting 1000cc injectors if I ended up going that route. The AEM EMS has just gotten so cheap ever since the V2 came out. And I ended up getting the clutch kit and installing it which was the difficult and expensive part for moving to the next stage. thanks for the input
what engine management should I get? I was planning on picking up a used AEM V1 but they are hard to find now and getting expensive. Should I settle for an emanage? or maybe just buy a new AEM EMS V2 since it wouldn't be much more than the used V1?
