Thinking of spinning the vortech blower to 15 psi.
It just makes too much chatter and clatter.Partial throttle. Nobody can stay in full throttle for more than a very short moment.
No the bov stays open until you get over like 50% throttle or something like that. Bleeds off and then closes when you go over a certain percent throttle and then of course opens when you shift or get off the throttle.
I can hear mine on the SOS kit very well now that it's venting to atmosphere. It opens whenever the engine is not under enough load. For example, if you are in gear and accelerating with the throttle in a fixed position, then once the car has accelerated to match where you're holding the throttle the diverter valve will open. Similarly, it opens if/when you back off the throttle to the point where the engine isn't trying to accelerate hard. It doesn't matter whether the throttle is at 20%, 30% etc. - it will open once the engine is no longer under a certain level of load. Not sure if this is the same as the Vortech kits.
I don't know how it knows, but obviously it's reacting to the pressure change in the vacuum line. I don't know what governs that, but it works. And I'm definitely going to muffle it this weekend because it sounds yucky.

Also going off what you said I've been breaking in the car and I have been under 20-30% throttle >4K RPMS and my boost gauge has yet to see more then 4 Vacuum
They just stuck a round plastic plug up in there. It feels kinda similar to the cap from a 20 oz. Coke bottle when I stick my finger in there. (It's probably something designed to plug pipes.) It's black, so I'm not sure how good a pic I can take but I'll try.
I'll post up pics and info once I've routed it the diverter under the fender. Hoping I can find hoses and filters locally (Pep Boys, Autozone) to assemble something solid.
