why get the 6262 when you can get the 6265?
I shot an email back and forth with Jeff about it and seems to think the 65 will yield more power and have almost identical spool with the s2k.

I have a buddy with the 6265 and it does not spool as quick as the 6262. He is at full boost around 5600 rpm on 19 psi and another buddy has the 6262 and he is at full boost at around 5300 rpm on 37 psi. And both will put out around 750 whp as the buddy on 37 psi is at 760 whp with his 6262. Thats the turbo ill be going with also. The 6265 is too laggy for the same output.

Agreed. You dont need the larger turbine because the 2.0 doesnt need it at all. Not worth the extra lag, you still need about the same amount of boost to make the same power.

I'm pretty sure the 3071 has .50 A/R cold side, whereas 3076 has a .60 A/R cold side.

Say, Saidan, are you selling your GT30R? What's the mileage on it?
It has a little over 1k miles on it.

I don't drive the car that much, take long trips much.

95% of it's life it hasn't seen more than 12lbs, lol.

Jet hot coated as well.

It's a gt3076r w/the .82 hot side.

What turbo do you have currently? Is it a GT3071R, or GT3076R?

I'm wondering if there is much difference between the two?
gt3071r = .50 a/r cold 53mm compressor 46 lb/min

gt3076r = .60a/r ported housing 57mm compressor 52lb/min

They use the same tubine wheel. The 3076R is rated for 525whp and the 3071R is rated for 460whp. I have seen 550whp from a 3076 and 475whp from a 3071 so yes quite a difference but the spool between these two turbos is close. I used a 3076R and it feels like almost instant spool basically.

The 65 has a large turbine wheel that although will flow more wont really help do anything but lag more. I have a small 3076R and I raced another s2k with a 6265 and I pulled right on past him. So small fast spooling turbo for the win.

I bet if you put that 6265 turbo on your set up, yeah you might might give up some spool but your car would pull like a bitch all the way to red line and make 50-to 75hp more. But you seem real happy with the gt30, its a great all around turbo for the car.
