good luck finding someone that'll smog it. That's why I went with my vortech setup. If I lived anywhere other than cali i'd be turbo'd by now.

You have 2 solutions:

1. Go to used car lot and talk then into it. Dont be an idiot b/c if they suspect you are a cop they wont help. Used car lots always have these connections and dont tell them how your car is modded. Just say it is stock and has a lot of mechanical issues. You will end up paying anywhere between $150-$300. Anything more is a ripoff. They dont even need your car; just your VIN and your mileage and car info.

2. Call this guy: 323 707 7942. Ask for Jay. I got his # off Honda Tech and he has a reputation there. He allegedly passes your car as a propane powered car LEGALLY and it would cost approx $400. See what he can do for you. I do not know how well this works.

Well you could install it yourself. Than just get good at installing/uninstalling. I mean its what 4 hours tops for a bolt on kit just gotta cap the return line for the oil, throw your stock ecu in. Sounds like a pain but you only would have todo it every 2 years and the rest of the time you can enjoy your turbo s.

I was talking to Bill from I speed he has a 99 2.5rs impreza with an STi engine. His car passes smog with flying colors and it passes visual and he just goes to a regular test only place.

It sickens me to know that for the same price I went Comptech SC, I could've been Inline Pro'ed...and making more power/torque.

in CA the registrating in another county that doesnt require smog wont work.. even though you could technically do that... in somewhere like pine valley or campo for us SD peeps.. i heard that getting pulled over with a vehicle that is illigally modified on any state highway or interstate is gonna be a ticket and or impound... just got my car its a 2002.. i am greddy turboing by christmas i just want the reliability it offers but **** it... just get someone to pass you or go on red registration stickers.. on my crx i never had it registered completly.. 2 1/2 years i told the dmv peeps i couldnt afford to fix it but i needed to drive to work.. bam another 3 months... there is alotta ways around it unless you get reffed and then i have seen you get by ref for about 500 bucks ! pay to play guys !!
