Is this too much of a kink in my oil return line?

Default Is this too much of a kink in my oil return line?

I noticed I was leaking oil on my garage floor, so after some inspection, my oil return line was rotting and leaking. I bought the multipurpose hose from NAPA that is meant for oil (5/8). It was a real bitch to get over the fittings, lots of bloody knuckles, lol. Anyway I can't get it any higher on the turbo drain fitting and there is a little bit of a kink, is it going to be an issue(I guess if I start seeing smoke it means the oils not flowing properly)

they only have red, lol, but I am covering it with DEI Fire sleeve

Dont really see a kink at all. looks like a radial bend to me. How long does the return line run ?

Looks fine to me, but I would not use that hose. Get some good hose like this http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/p...ocketless_Hose You will need the proper fittings too.

I am in kind of in a jam, I'm heading to the track tomorrow for final Test & Tune until the spring, so I needed something that would hold up for basically a day. I originally bought heater hose then realized that was a bad idea, did some research and seemed like this was the best stuff I could get given the circumstances

Total length is like 17 inches

Looks fine to me Joey... and I know all about kinky hose.

That hose is probably fine for now, but I'd eventually replace it with SS braided hose if at all possible.

Yeah looks fine. Rule of thumb i was always informed of was 2in of straight before any major turns. This allows gravity do its thing to get the flow going. But the bend on yours isnt too tight and its always heading down and not horizontal.

i think if its kinked to much it will back up oil and you will end up seeing it being burned thru the exhaust
