I'd have no issues sharing my map for my s2000 if I go standalone. I've had no issues sharing my maps in the past for my other cars/bikes.

I'd give my map out if my tuner is ok with it. I would respect his wishes though. I think a lot of people are the same way and most tuners don't want their maps floating around for free for multiple reasons, not just money either...

I wouldn't give mine out as I have spent at least 2k in tuning just to say...here you go.

My reasoning is more out of respect for the tuners

I've always given out maps and offered to help anyone who asked. I had over a dozen different AEM base maps I had made for users on this forum and others to get them started with a 1012, 1052, or 1052U. However, if someone says "I know nothing and don't want to know anything, give me a map that I can put into my car so that I can drive 1000 miles to my tuner", there's no way I'm helping.

For KPro, base maps are ridiculously easy. As a result, there's no need to share any KPro base maps. Fully tuned maps do seem to be a lot fewer and further between though...

I don't think calibrations should be secret. Keeping them secret helps bad tuners hide and doesn't help the community as a whole. Sharing tunes doesn't rob tuners of their business unless someone is stupid enough to put someone else's tune in their car and hope for the best. The key is that every car and setup is different. While the base maps might be similar, there are HUGE benefits to actually dyno tuning each individual car. There's no better way to optimize the tune and diagnose problems.

I have a few different map's (hondata flashpro) I will share if it helps someone... I asked for some help with a map once. I didnt want to use it , just look at some timing that's all. No one ever let me see one. Im in about $2500 in different mapps because of all the different set-up iv had over the last few years but like iv stated, if it help someone i dont mind posting it.
