set up boost by gear. although you can only go as low as your WG spring.

Im not too sure how the traction control feature works on the AEM EMS but I have been using boost by speed and it works great.

thanks Jeff....since you mention it's more for straight line does it cause issues in turns? Since in a turn wheels spin at different speeds (of course the diff helps this), does that confuse the system?

no, because it was just said that the AEM TC is not monitoring wheel speed....

Search on Racelogic if you want a conventional traction control.

Justin,

I can set it up, but the conditions will have to be right on the street tune in order to get enough data to set-up the trip tables for each gear. If its raining or wet, I cannot get the right data.

The TC works, and very well at that. I like to have a toggle switch mounted into the car to be able to turn it on/off. The TC is meant for straight line conditions, not so much cornering the way that AEM has it set-up. If it used wheel speed sensors and % slip rate that would be a different story.

The new series 2 boxes are going to have a ground speed limiting feature that is within the same idea as TC, but MUCH easier to set-up. Again, its more for straight line acceleration but is bad-ass.
Evans is right for the most part.

While he says its GREAT for straight line I would give it a rating of "acceptable". Also he is correct it is USELESS for corning.

A wheel speed type device and monitoring system is needed to really have a traction control set-up like you might find with Racelogic.

But Evans is going to have a lot more experience than me with the new Box. So if he says there are going to be improvements with the new box then we will have to wait and hear from him on how things go.
