On face plated they have seen 800 lb of torque in a 3600pound car off the line and it hold up for 3 years so with how light our cars are and the torque not coming in till way in the powerband I think it will be just fine for possibly ever

I know stock there rated at 450 lb torque in a 3600?pound car and everyone knows how many have took the Camaros and Trans Ams turbo charge them and throwed a ton of nitrous to them and the transmission still holds up just fine

So, being I'm going with the PPG and will be shifting much more quickly and possibly with an ignition cut, am I going to need to replace my CC stage 4 clutch to something stronger?

So what is everybody using now for transmissions? Any new options or reviews from the options talked about here?

So, what exactly did you broke in the PPG dog box when your shifter moved all crazy?? did you find out the weak link on the dog box ppg setup on your 9 sec passes?

I've read somewhere that the fork was the culprit.

Still very interested to see how the PPG option works for people. The stock transmission in the S2000 is one of the best transmissions in terms of shift feel and throw in the world, all we need to do is successfully fortify it, prove it and work with what we already have.

Matty in the UK has just terminated his second stock transmission,2nd gear let go. You may have your work cut out modifying the stock setup because even if the gears are made stronger the casing will be the next thing to let go.

It really suck's how weak this transmission is took apart my blown ap1 trans 2nd gear on the main shaft is has no teeth on it, not even worth rebuilding to me can't buy just synchro's must buy the hole gear set. To repair this I would need to replace main shaft and 2nd gear set and still have old synchro's on all other gear but 2nd. Yes I was banging gears lol
