sounds like the rest of the US is following the great state of california...

You thought of using a dummy vehicle? Like stock car w/ same color? Just swap clusters and plates? I'm pretty sure though they check VIN's

GL.

why dont you just wire in your old injectors and run the car NA. i dont think you will throw a code with a headgasket. wouldnt it be like a worn engine with low compression?

I registered the car in upstate Maine. No problem-no emissions inspection. I have someone who lives there so I use their address. I don't know if they would accept P.O. boxes, maybe maybe not. You do have to have a yearly safety inspection unless you don't drive it in Maine, which I don't. Reregister through the mail, they send the registrations out of state. All you need is an address up there.

Wow, wasn't that a concideration during the build? Sounds like the KPRO is the only good option. This is one of the reasons why I miss the days of GM, FORD, Chysler, Subaru.... OBDII reflashes.

A inspection here involves visually checking for a cat and making sure the car is safe, ie tire brakes suspension...... So for me the AEM is not a problem as long as I have a mini spool cat that is good enough. By law the shops can only charge $14 and we get an inspection every 2 years. Typiclly if the car is clean and stock they just put in a sticker and you drive away.

It is too bad it has to be this way.

This is what happens when you let idiots rule the state, country and every where in between. We should be able to have a car like this for recreation just like anyone with a pre emision car can. In fact a properly tuned turbo car will release fewer emission than an old carburated POS.

I say F them all, Makes me want to play some Rage Against the Machine and drive like a bat out of hell.
