i know i've already got a stage 5 clutch kit sitting in my house.

im buying a blown motor to rebuild that way i can do it whenever i can afford since my s is my daily driver i can keep driving it.

once that engine is build 100% i can sell the stock f20c and use that money towards a turbo kit and put the built f20c in my s

and i know these are dumb things to be asking however. i'd rather ask them and know the answer than not ask them.

the more questions i ask about turbo kits and tuning the more knowledgable i am about it. and knowledge is power.

Out of curiosity why are you building an engine? The s2k engine on a turbo can handle 500whp. You'd be better off spending the money on a reinforced diff.

Once you get past 500whp traction is going to be a huge pita anyway.

What year car do you have?

DO IT.

and let us know how long your motor survives.

i have a 2000

im building the engine because its my daily driver and i would just like the confidence in knowing my engine can handle the psi and hp im pushing.

like i might end up maping it out for like 600hp for just a while to have fun and lower it back to like 400 but i would like confidence that knowing while im pushing that 600 my engine is ok with handling it.

i cant afford the down time if something in the engine goes bad. because of full time high school and 5-6 days of work a week. i have to have a drivable car

Save the money on building an engine and turbo kit. Buy a daily driver.

I can't believe you want 400-600whp and don't want to buy engine management.

-stock motor has proven potential for almost 800whp
-buy a daily driver
-I vote stick with intake header exhaust for now.

I didnt boost mine til a year after I got it and that was for the sole purpose to make sure you dont cut any corners and to give yourself enough time to learn helpful information. Not to flame or be an ass, but honestly please revisit this plan in a few months. Could save you lots of coin

Well, i'm done with this post. High school, really? 600whp on the s2k and you probably won't make college.

At 600whp you are probably going to spend 10k+ just to get it running, and built engine or no built engine you are going to have down time.

Sorry bud, I just don't think this will happen. If it does you'll be spending $$$ on repairs or medical bills.
