impossible to do for under 6K, thats the flat truth, I tried to get it done around 5500, bargain basement has already cost me a further 2K in fixes

I went cheap the first time. I think it was just under $6k. By the time I fixed everything and did what I should have done the first time, it was more like $20k.

Cheap, inexpensive, etc are words that do not belong in the same sentence with turbocharging a car that isn't from the factory. IP's kit does cost $3995, that is a base price for the main turbo charging components only. It doesn't include clutch, headgasket, oil filter relocation, exhaust, EMS, gauges, ECT fix, dyno/tuning time, injectors, various adapters, and if applicable, labor. While the motor would run on just the kit alone, you wouldn't get most of the benefit and you up the risk of blowing up your motor.

So, like a lot of people have said here, plan to spend 10k or more.
