vtec is also controlled by throttle position. With normal highway driving, no matter what it's set at, it should not activate.

Since you have an AEM EMS, there is NO reason to use the vortech FMU, stock is perfectly capable of controlling fuel pressure.

So I am going from VTSC to a Inline kit here in a year when i get back from deployment. I lookin to put 430-450whp down. But i want to start collecting parts nowish. I know the kit is pretty complete and a lot of people run the stage 1 kit as a DD. I just want to get a list together of things so it can make a trip confidently to the Dragon or to Kings Dominion. 3-5hr drives with some spirited runs. So i want to ensure coolant and oil temps will stay low.

Purchasing along with the kit:
ARP head studs
3mm Head Gasket
Inline Valve train
750cc Inj.
Inline Fuel Rail

I have the AEM EMS and i think the Vortech FMU should work with the Inline pro.

I dont know about these. Last pieces to the puzzle:

1.Radiator (suggestions of best bang for the buck)
2.Water/Meth (Prob snow or AEM)(joey balls howd that prob work out for you?)
3.Oil Cooler (suggestions)
4.Should i wrap manifold, turbo, anything?
5. Your free space.

Thanks in Advance
The problem with the meth Kit was my own fault, I sent it back to AEM and they tested the pump and controller. I had the pump in my fender and with crimped connections it got too corroded. I am going to mount it in my trunk and solder all the connections.

The METH does an amazing job of cooling down EGT's/CHT's but is another potential failure that can cost you $$$$. I think at the very least ALL BOOSTED applications should be pumping distilled water into the manifold for detonation suppresion

As far as future cooling mods, I will be using a koyo radiator, wrap downpipe, turbo blanket and have the manifold coated by Swaintech......(may even have the D/P coated underneath the wrap).

I am also going to vent the hood, seems to be a very good idea, I prefer a non vented hood aesthetically, but can't win em all I guess.

Oh yeah, spend the time and money and re-locate your battery and fusebox...
