We will be using direct port methanol injection for road racing.

^^^ Direct port is good however you will want to use some water to help cool and remove heat from the motor. Also maybe a jet away from the throttle body to actualy cool charged air with the methanol.

Im sure if its anything like your exhaust, it will be top notch!

Thanks Evan

We'll be testing different configurations and comparing hard data.
The nice thing about the AEM is that it supports up to 10 injectors. I plan on using 4 at the manifold and two in the charge stream.

That should work perfectly!!!
AEM has a great kit! I personaly use Aquamist for the R&D they have done on their kits however for what you need it for AEM will work great.

GL!

I was planning on using the Aquamist too, I meant AEM EMS can run up to 10 injectors total.

Which Aquamist are you using on the Evo?
I have an older 1s or 1d model that triggers on above a certain boost pressure. The one I think would be more suited to this application has a rising rate pulse width modulation with increased boost pressure. This is going to be fun

I use the 2D but the new hotness especially for road race and drag is the Aquamist HFS-5. It copies your duty cycle of you fuel injectors. So as the load increases so does you water/fuel ratio. Also it activates according to load instead of a boost switch.

here is some more info

Your right though... its a lot of fun!

Can adding a second oil cooler solve the issues at 7psi? Most likely. At 14psi, who knows, but I doubt it. You also need to ponder what adding all the extra coolers are going to do to airflow. I know for a fact that CBender had C&R make a custom radiator and oil cooler to the tune of $1100. It was a pretty piece and had a huge oil cooler section, but he still had cooling issues. Looking at history I decided to punt. I would rather run the car than develop it at this point. If I spend time developing, it will be something with more cylinders. The supercharger is a proven solution for the track.
The only thing that scares me about running a second oil cooler is finding a place to put it where the lines wont be too long which would end up dropping oil pressure and starving the oil system...We had one customer car which had routed the oil cooler lines much farther than was needed, and it ended up spinning a rod bearing b/c oil pressure had dropped so much.

How much did the pressure drop, what was the pressure before and after? where was it measured from? If the car was boosted, what were the components used?

How long did the car run for and for what application was it used?
Who tuned the car?

These are all variables that need answers.
Adding an extra oil cooler won't cause problems if installed properly.

Also, what might suffice for a street car, may not be adequate for a road race car. Was it a turbo road race S2000?
