A Carb legal turbo would be nice...as would any postive displacement supercharger. Basically if you can make a kit that starts making more power from 3k RPM and up...its probably a winnner.

I agree that the market for aftermarket parts is growing as S2k owners are getting younger, the cars are getting cheaper...and I THINK most of the younger S2k owners are in college and on their way out into better jobs. I know I am graduating next year and will be coming into money after that.

I agree that a mild setup...guessing it will be the typical TD05-18g you guys use...would work quite well...fully spooled by 3.5-4k...hold boost to 9k...simple make 290whp or so and be CARB legal. Then, for those that want more power...bigger injectors, a little more boost, and better tuning and 350whp is easily possible with that turbo. The only thing I worry about with that turbo is if it is big enough to flow enough air to make power at only 6-7psi.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, make a kit, I should have 4.57's before next year and am now planning to go the SC route, but if a turbo kit like this comes out and is priced well 5,000 or less, then you've already got one kit sold.

Also, I'm already on an AEM EMS, so if I could get it without the Emanage for a cheaper price that would be good. And, if you guys can make it safe so people like me can swap in their OEM ECU and turn the boost down...say 2psi or as low as the wastegate can let it go, and be able to pass smog. That would be awesome.

One thing that appeals to me about the Comptech kit is that I can run it on the stock ECU just fine when getting smoged.

Last thing I can think of...make sure we can recirc the BOV...I don't want to be obvious (at least not all the time)...and BOV's can still be heard recirc'd...they are just subdue'd

I want a 290 WHP kit that uses the emanage ULT (or similar) and does not require any relocation of battery, moving of A/C lines, etc.. and retains the full OBDII funtionallity.
Ultimate Racing's kit does not need to relocate de battery, AC lines and uses the Emanage

With awesome SC kits in the Comptech and Vortech already available, I'd say go with the Turbo kit. As many have already said, a CARB legal kit would be your best bet. I'm also looking to go FI very soon. But, i'm leaning towards the Comptech SC kit right now. Of course, i'd rather take turbo, but I want a legal one. And not too radical of a hp gain, because taht usually means lower reliability. A good linear 270-290whp would be awesome. Tell Greddy they have a few interested customers including myself. Make this happen within a year, and i'll have one pre-ordered.

If you want linear power increases check out the AFSC thread.

An Axial flow compressor (AKA compressor sided of a jet engine) has a linear boost profile and usally has an efficency greather than 85%.
