turbo on stock motor...?
ok so ive searched and all ive found are different answers. some say no more than 8 psi on stock motor some say 10 should be fine. well heres what im going for. im peicing a kit together with a disco potato gt28rs and was hoping for 400-450 at the wheels. im thinking that i most likely wont be able to do that with stock internals but just wanted to mke sure before spending the extra cash. this is going to be my daily driver so reliability is a must. ill be running low boost for daily and pump it up a bit for fun. so if yall could help me out with if i need internal work and what kind thatd be great. thanx alot
The GT28RS or GT2860R has a limit of 350whp and the larger GT2871R can only flow upto 400whp.
You wont be able to do it on stock compression but you will be able to do it if you lower it. If you are on a budget, you'll need this:

Or else you can build the block and I can recommend you a good place to go.
BTW, from what I have seen, the turbo pretty much dies off after 7500rpm and pretty much falls flat on its face. The GT30R is a better turbo selection for the F20C and F22C in my opinion but I don't know what your goals are other wise.
