If you can afford either one, the AEM EMS hands down. People have been having issues with the first e-manage and they just haven't gotten much better. Try calling greddy and put e-manage and Honda S2000 in the same sentence and they will say it doesn't work.

The e-manage ultimate also has very little background with the S2000 guys and I really don't know much at all but a couple of guys with the ultimate ended up ditching it and going AEM EMS. If you want to give it a try and let everyone on this board know as much as you learn, that would be awesome.

If you want the AEM EMS:

I'd say go with a better stand alone. I've been recently introduced to Autronics and love them. Of course you'd have to buy the universal and wire it yourself, but the software is hands down the coolest I have ever seen.

But on your post, AEM over E-manage no question.

At this point the emanage ultimate does not work on the S. I removed the unit from my car after 45+ days of trying everything. Greddy was no help.

Check here for details: Ultimate Emanage Thread

If your emission testing does not require reading OBD2, go with the AEM.
Check the thread at the top "What AEM-EMS will not do." Link
