Turbo Vs. S/C
In all honesty how much power you want and the delivery of it will decide for you. I almost went with SOS 1200 but it just didn't make the cut for me. Sure with a sc the power comes on as rpm progresses (less wheelspin/ more useable power) but what fun is that
. In all seriousness what your goin todo with the car and the power you want will make things easier. I've seen tons of guys go sc than max them out and go turbo cause they get bored. Hope my .02 help

I doubt they are maxing out the supercharger potential sure they may be spinning it to the max but the car isn't maxed out power wise
Water meth is CHEAP for the 40-50whp gain you will get with a retune and more timing.
A better header designed for the sc will pull out another 10whp out
Getting some supercharger specific cams will gain 20whp without a problem.
Before you know it it can be right at the 500whp door which in a 2800lb car is down right terrifying.

400whp is my eventual goal, or as close as possible. I'll be starting with a 3.2" pulley, test pipe, Comptech A/C, Haltech with pro dyno tune. I wonder if I can get close...
Edit: S2000Junky says 370-380whp sounds good to me
At what WHP or TQ do I need to start to be concerned about the DIFF and TRANS?

Diff stock power if you drive like a prick
Tranny is pretty stout and will take it without a problem.
With a test pipe and exhaust you will hit 400whp with the 3.2"
If not a snow or aem water meth kit will put you over the top without a problem

If you think your gunna be happy with 400whp then by all means go with the s/c setup, that's is the limit pretty much with the novi 1000 w/o meth though. Speed junky there no point in running aftermarket cams as messing with stock cam timing will be the best bang for the buck. Sideways is pretty much the centri guru on this forum and whatever he says I'd listen to as he has a lot of experience with centris and has one of the highest hp sc out there. Sure you can spend 600 dollars for some custom sc cams that will net you 6whp but is it really worth it? Anyway just saying what I know and believe

It's inevitable you will eventually want more. But it's fun to keep tinkering with setups and going for more power.
I thought I would be happy at stock vortech boost level. Then thought the same at 12 psi. Lots of fun but once I get a new engine i will be attempting to get a MUCH broader powerband with my sc. Getting the 928 motorsports impeller which should add about 3 psi. I'll run a 15-16 psi pulley to make a total of 18 or so psi but run a boost limiter valve to bleed off after 14 or so psi. Should really increase the midrange I think!
At 400whp supercharged it is much slower than most other similar power to weight ratio cars. I am at 400whp but for like 50rpms only so sort of a fake 400whp lol.
