Default Turbo w/ 4.77's

I have a CTSC right now and running a 4.77 rear. I was thinking about switching to a turbo kit but read several posts urging against it. People were saying the gears are too short, don't stay in boost long enough etc. Isn't the idea to accelerate as fast as possible? I would only be looking for the 400whp mark if I did got the turbo route. Can anyone explain exactly why the gears would be no good for a 400whp turbo setup?

u want to ride the power out in each gear as you make more and more power, and a broad power band is rewarded with longer gears.

PPG tranny in drag s2ks trap 140+ in 4th gear. you would be in 6th in a stock trans s2k.

comptech SC powerband is rewarded with 4.77 gears. turbo will just be spin city wiht those gears. stick with stock 4.10 or go to 3.90 if your making 500+whp

I could spin through 1st all day at only 300whp on stock 4.10's. You would have a hell of a time getting the wheels to connect at 400 turbocharged whp with 4.77s Gears 1-3 would be almost pointless.
