I hope you are thinking about purchasing a DD beater car -- after going (large) turbo, driving my s2k in the winter is no fun between boost creep (which I can almost guarentee you will suffer) and crappy traction (I can guarentee you will suffer).

I know you're excited about your new setup, but do you need to make a new thread about it whenever you think of a question? Not saying your spamming the board, but it just seems like everytime I come in here you got a other thread up about your "twinscroll" 35r setup. Case in point, this thread. It's pretty pointless in itself. You've already decided what setup you're getting so if you break a tranny, there's pretty much nothing you cam do except fix it and upgrade. No need for a thread for us to speculate what might happen.

Fair enough

Though I am not sure its pointless I think its a pretty good question what type of powerband, or how it comes on, and what that means for the drivetrain.........

I would have asked in ROB!'s thread but didnt want to Hijack it

Joey, glad to see you've really stepped up your turbo system and didn't give up entirely on the car. Have you considered the possibility of making a little less power? A little less boost, a little less heat, maybe break things a bit less often...just a thought...

There's definitely something to be said for knowing that you can stomp anything in the same zip code as you but having to constantly work on your car sucks. I experienced that with my FD RX-7 and gave up a bit of performance to the S2000 platform but have been pleased with how much time I spend driving as opposed to repairing my car.

Eh...just a thought. Then again, if you do proceed, you'd better post some videos of some supercar annihilations because the high HP guys tend to suck about filming their kills.

You'll probably find you can accelerate better with 425hp than 500 something. There is something to be said for traction

Exactly, Joey has made every mistake for you. Learn from him...it'll be cheaper in the long run. Just kidding, Joey

I actually have a twin scroll gt35 with methanol injection. I hit 616 whp on a dyno dynamics on the stock bottom end on the 3mm headgasket. I just tracked the car on 26/8.5 slicks and the stock tranny held up using no 2-step just an ignition cut at 6400 rpm. I was making 494 ft/lbs of torque at ~6800 rpm. I only got 3 runs so take it for what its worth I guess.
