The Ultimate Emanage Thread
Guys,
I've got my car booked in next week for a UEM to be fitted to my stock Comptech SC setup. I've got a 2002 Engine - are you saying this will not work either, or are the issues only with the later engines ?
If its just the extra functionality that does not work presently I'm not too worried, I would be purchasing the Ultimate over the Blue just to protect my investement, however if it really doesn't work then I will have them install the Blue instead.
Cheers Paul.

the ULT incompatibility is over all years of the S up 06. 06 owners would just get a reflash
the only functions that work on the S with the ULT is fuel injector control which is still kind of shady
and may be the MAP adjustment (air flow adjustment) which is unconfirmed.
if you have in your budget go AEM
if you do install the ULT only hook up the functions for injector control and may be vtec control and watch everything closely.
Do not I repeat do not hook up water temp and IAT sensor wires this caused my car to knock due to the erroneously low readings the stock computer was seeing and advancing ignition timing to far.
After full warm up the data showed IAT of 56deg F and water temps of 100deg F this is on a +95deg F 80% relative humidity day in Florida.

Did Greddy give any time scale for update so we can use all the features on the S?
My tuner should be getting the Greddy pressure sensor tomorrow, his going to give it one last try maping the injector thing to boost only.
Herbo who's doing yours, TDI?

I am getting emails from Greddy. The ULT does not work for any year S.
They do say they are working on the issue, but they do not have a time frame on when. They did suggest using the settings for the Accord.
No name given on the email only Info@Greddy.com
Quote from the latest email: "But i have seen people use it (ULT) now on that car (AP1) using the honda accord settings."
Take this for what it's worth, maybe nothing at all. I am NOT ready to re-install the ULT.

Hmm.. encouraging news.
Amazing how a respected company like Greddy has put years of development into the product and managed to screw it up for one of its best serving cars.
Do other cars have issues with it too, I've got a friend with an RX7 who's hot on the idea of the Ultimate.
There is a company over here called Thor Racing, based near Birmingham that have accepted the challenge on my car. http://www.thorracing.co.uk/
They have tuned and fitted many Greddy's previously, but no Ultimates on an S2000.
Seriouslyy considering AEM now but can't seem to find anyone over here to supply and fit...

I would not want to assume anything here when it involves the possibility of destroying my engine.

but which accord???
Got some interesting info today about the ULT.
But it did not come from Greddy.
The ULT VSS wire must be tagged in the same location where the yellow box gets its input/output from/to not at the ECU. If you want to use then speed/odometer adjustment setting for different gears and/or OD tires setups.
The ULT does control the injectors (all ready known and tested)
The ULT is able to control ignition timing just is unable to log the actual timming before/after the adjustment .<< will require a software update from Greddy to fix the problem with the ULT not being able to pick up the crank angel and compute the timming offset. which does not make sense to me since the ULT can pick up RPM. Unless it does that by other means then the crank angle sensor.
Air temp and water temp problems still exist friend is working on a fix for those that want to use the water and intake temp adjustment maps. ( I wouldn not even use these as the stock ECU allready takes care of this.)
As to why JP8 and be set at either the 5V ignition output or the 12V ignition output and the system/car still works is not fully understood.
