Kite surfer do you have a DIY of how you made the hybrid? What parts are needed and what needs to be modified on the t518z.

Huge hangover

Guys its a mitsubishi turbo .So you take it to a recon shop and get them to put one size up turbine wheel and comp wheel ie t620z

Pros it pulls to redline if you have a good exhaust for you people that get to 6000 and change, also i felt vtec coming in at 7500 which i dident befor.

For given psi the hybrid is working up to 40% less which means Less heat so more boost can be added

360whp is possible around 16psi
CONS
Upto 300rpm more lag

It ownly means that more boost can be added befor it pushes hot air, ie 300whp at 10 psi is the same on both turbos but the hybrid is spining less to acheve it.

I bought surfers hybrid kit, it read 277 whp on a safe tune, the vtec isn't sorted yet but no det and afr is perfect at 10psi.

pulls like nobodies business at 3800-4k up to just after 6 but then the VTEC buggers it up.

I was reading on a low reading dyno too. Can't wait to get my AEM and have all this business sorted!

Turbo reconditioning place i suppose.

On another note I'm not sure why anyone would want more power, I was keeping up with an Evo X FQ 360 in the wet with the traction control going mental! He said if I managed to put the power down he'd be F worded!

Question, if i put down 260whp at 7ish psi, how much would it increase with ONE size bigger wheels? (on the same boost level ) btw im not planning on exceeding 11 psi. What power could i expect there?

Im also curious if the torque drop after vtec will be solved by this, so that it pulls strong in vtec like it does from 4to6krpm So peharps vtec doesnt need to be set at 7k anymore with this mod.
