Default Upgrades on the Greddy kit......

Hey Everyone!,

I've been saving up for a greddy turbo kit now and they claim its a close to 300 whp set up. The set up includes, the greddy emanage ultimate, the fuel pump, 550 injectors, front mount, 18G turbo, Everything i would need to install the thing... It even comes pre tuned!

The problem i for see is, that kit was on Stock EVERYTHING. but i have no cat. i have a test pipe with an HKS hi power exhaust. It would be good if i could slap in a 3 mm head gasket, get bigger injectors, and retune.

The question i have is. Since the kit is set up with 550's, and i bought 650's to compensate for the higher boost i'm gonna be running since i would have a HG installed, would it be fine to drive before i have to Retune? Because the steps i was gonna do was... first, go get the HG installed......drive home, Install the kit, and use the 650's instead of 550's. Can i drive around with it set on 550's while REALLY i have 650's in there? i'm sure its gonna run rich, but is it safe to do until the retune time?

thanks guys!

I'm sure it comes with a disk you can DL on to your laptop. just change the setting to 650's.

i love these kind of questions, yes you can drive around on that tune with larger injectors, will it run good - maybe, would i not do it - never, your "tune" on your setup it is the brains of the system
Not a good idea -get it tuned

I guess i shouldve made it clearer.....I planned on having my buddy put the head gasket on, pick it up that day, drive home, slap on the turbo kit and once completed, go Straight to the tuner and have them tune it.

I wasnt gonna drive around with it or anything....Isnt the Greddy gonna be locked? so i cant just go in there and just switch the injectors right?

I'd rather just do everything at once.. Thanks for info guys! this is a little different than from my DSM's i had....

HAHAHAHAHAH????????????

I'm a guy.......the name is the name of my girlfriend and my s2000......i named my car Sandy after my Girl cuz My car is like my lil daugther. and at the time i had a silver GSX.....which i named sindy. So i had 2 girls... Sindy and Sandy. but the GSX is gone

and i think it is locked because i thought that the only way Greddy can make the kit Carb legal was to lock the emanage and can only be Unlocked by the Tuner or something.

well i hope its different because if i could just go in there and change to 650's and be fine with it, i will...At least that would allow me to leave it on 650's and drive it to the tuner.

I'm hopeing with a 3 MM head gasket, 650 cc injectors, and with the 18G, to be able to hit the 350 Whp mark. Because since its a mitsu turbo, i can have the turbo sent out to like Buschur or some other places and have it converted to a 20g turbo.

just change your injectors when you get to the tuner and don't drive it hard ofcourse.

i spoke with Tuan just now from PTUNING.....he said i should be fine, but it might foul up my plugs.....so i should just drive there, and change out the plugs right quick and tune from there.

I wonder how much HP the greddy's 18 G turbo can push out. because i'm trying to get at LEAST 350WHP. then i'll be satisfied.
