I see! that totally makes sense. I think i'm gonna be the guinee pig on this one. It seems noone has put the 3mm HG in and put the Greddy kit on. I plan on doing this all by june/july. have the 3mm HG installed, put the kit on, with 650cc's and turn up the boost and tune.

I think 15/16 would be suffice on the motor with that set up. Shooting for 350 whp. This 18G turbo is Capable of 425 to the crank. So i think this is definately doable.

there are a few pics floating around on these forums with greddy kits having bov's. You want it installed on the charge pipe that goes into the TB. Most have just placed it on the left side of the pipe if your are looking at your TB

The BOV is the silver actuator with the purple top.
is that the greddy Type S? if so i thought they discontinued it.

Yeah i had the Greddy RS blow off valve on my EClipses. It was a nice sounding one too!

So i take it i have to take the pipe and cut it out and weld the flange for the blow off valve huh?

That BOV is actually a Greddy Type S which IS discontinued. The Greddy RS is silver with a blue anodized funnel. And yes, you have to have the pipe drilled and flange welded on. BTW the piping for the Greddy kit is aluminum so you will need an aluminum flange.

if Greddy claimed 290whp on a stock car, I'm sure you can get to 325whp with a couple of bolt ons and a retune.

Yeah... i already have the test pipe and HKS exhaust. so i'm purty sure i can def get 340 or so. the thing is his dyno read so much lower so on the other dynos he said that its over 300 whp.

Cant wait to see.

I spoke with tuan again, and gave me a number to greddy in New Jersey. That dood said ther is no 20 G that will fit the manifold and downpipe. So that means i have to go with a new turbo set up.

But The 18G is capable of 425 hp to the crank.. equates to around 340/350 tuan said. with a 3 mm HG, you can crank up the boost to around 15/16 psi.

I think 350 WHP is great for me... its my DD!
The 20G won't fit. A larger turbo in the 18G is the T618Z. It's a direct replacement unless the T518Z for this kit is something special.

The T618Z will fit the manifold, but it won't fit the DP. The flange is different.

So what does the 51 and 61 mean? Does that mean the trim??? So the T518Z means 50 trim 18G?

Not sure.. but i'm pretty positive that you cant fit a 50 trim in an 18G housing.

The only real way out of this is get a different manifold, the turbo to bolt on to it, and modify the downpipe.

Is the T518Z on this kit different to other T518Z? Can you order the T618z with the same exhaust housing for the s2k T518Z?

I am getting a pair of T618Z 10cm2 housing for my GTR to replace the pair of T517Z 10cm2. I've been told that they are direct swap. I hope there won't be any surprises
