update:

I spoke with tuan again, and gave me a number to greddy in New Jersey. That dood said ther is no 20 G that will fit the manifold and downpipe. So that means i have to go with a new turbo set up.

But The 18G is capable of 425 hp to the crank.. equates to around 340/350 tuan said. with a 3 mm HG, you can crank up the boost to around 15/16 psi.

I think 350 WHP is great for me... its my DD!

Hey Jon!

Yeah, i was REALLY trying to figure out what i really wanted to do, and i really thought about it.....i had to sit back and set my goal....what Do "I" want and whats the best for me and my driving. So i thought....I really dont drive hard.. i dont floor her much, and i dont really race.

So i figured.......hell, i dont need all that extra HP. just something that will get me in And out of trouble in a hurry and be safe. But fun at the same time. So i figured the 350 WHP would be perfect for me.

Hopefully by june..........I"LL BE BOOSTING!!!!!!!! then i can come up and lose against yall....with style hahahahaha

The emanage IS locked, you have to contact greddy or someone with an unlocked map.

The estimated power increase is with a stock cat and a 80mm single exhaust, most likely you will not quite hit 350 whp, however with a head gasket it may be possible (you would be the first I believe).

Good conclusion to switch injector when you get to the tuner, it does not take long and will be the safest way.

Hey Everyone!,

I've been saving up for a greddy turbo kit now and they claim its a close to 300 whp set up. The set up includes, the greddy emanage ultimate, the fuel pump, 550 injectors, front mount, 18G turbo, Everything i would need to install the thing... It even comes pre tuned!

The problem i for see is, that kit was on Stock EVERYTHING. but i have no cat. i have a test pipe with an HKS hi power exhaust. It would be good if i could slap in a 3 mm head gasket, get bigger injectors, and retune.

Just fyi Greddy never claimed 300whp on a completely stock car. The only only published numbers from Greddy anywhere, are from my AP2, which does 286 on stock boost and 299.8 on 10psi. Only breathing mod is an 80mm catback. Using stock cat. The kit was tuned using an 80mm catback & stock cat.

Gotcha... so if you have an Ap2, with a test pipe, and hks Exhaust, I SHOULD be able to hit 300 WHP right on 10 PSI on stock HG. right?

So that means, changing the HG to a 3mm one, with 650's, i can uppity the boost to say around 15-16 PSI safely on the motor. By that time i should DEF be able to hit 350 to the wheels..

i mean, this 18G turbo is capable of around 400-425 crank hp. Tuned right, i have a good feeling i can hit that goal

By the way, how come you dont run 10 PSI all the time? is it too close for comfort in regards of blowing the head gasket?

there are a few pics floating around on these forums with greddy kits having bov's. You want it installed on the charge pipe that goes into the TB. Most have just placed it on the left side of the pipe if your are looking at your TB

The BOV is the silver actuator with the purple top.

Yes, i did some research in this forum and ~10psi seems to be the point in which people choose to lower compression. I daily drive the car and it only has 20k mi right now, so i'm not looking to blow the motor anytime soon. Plus daily driving it, the extra 14whp and 20 ft/lbs of torque don't matter much to me. 286whp is plenty.
