V-Tech Problem with Turbo
I've done a turbo setting on my S2K, the engine management is done by AEM EMS, on the dyno as soon as the V-Tech kicks I loose about 40 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels, instead how making the Air/Fuel ratio richer when the V-Tech kicks in we need to lean it. With a Garrett T3/T4 at 8 psi my best run on the dyno is 254 whp... I'm thinking it's a manifold problem, not enough flow? My manifold is a topmounted P-Fabrication. What do you guys think the problem is???
have you check your oil pressure? if pressure is not above 70 psi Vtec do not kick in you run very rich. Some of the reasons for low pressure are
1. Oil gets very hot, I asume that you turbo is cooled by oil
2. Your Sandwich plate reduces the oil pressure when the oil gets a bit hot
3. Oil grade what are you using 10-40W?
does your vtec kick on the first dyno/street run but not the next?

I had problems losing power at VTEC when it was set for the wrong RPM. I think mine is now set at 4700. Hope that helps, because there was a noticeable dip in my dyno. Also, what size dp and exhaust are you running. Those also play a big role, because the engine has to breathe in VTEC.
Thanks for your help guys. I'm changing the MAP tomorow, I tought it might be part of the problem.
My V-Tech is set at 5800 rpm. My DP and Exhaust are 3", I try to set my V-Tech higher is the RPM and it does'nt change the Drop of Ft/Lbs
My AEM EMS is set by an experience guy, he had very good result with my buddy's S2K 454 RWHP at 16 PSI.

Good luck, and for future reference a lot of people get pissed when folks misspell VTEC. It's VTEC not V-tech. The latter is a brand of portable phones and other miscellaneous electronic goodies you can buy at Best Buy and fun places like that. I'm only protecting you from some of the hot heads on here who will be mean about it. Have a great one
The problem is the manifold. With a log manifold, you may want to move the VTEC to 6500 rpm or so. If you have a 3" catless straight through exhaust, that should help quite a bit too. I've had and tuned both a log manifold and a tubular manifold. On the S2000, there is a big difference between the two.

I think thats your right about the probleme that comes from manifold cuz a try all the sensors include my map AEM 3.5 bar and other one map AEM 3.5 bar.this is the my manifold's picture.
