v160
Can anyone explain as to why the V160 is so loud in our cars? Its quiet in the Supra and seems to hold up better. Nobody, to this day, has explained why it sounds loud and clunky. I have one brand new sitting on a pallet from Jack's Transmissions that I have been hesitant to install.

I'm so ready to get a different trans. I planned on doing the v160, but not if it can't take the high rpm abuse.

Even the ones by Jacks will break. Stock or not, the V160 can't take the high rpm/high hp beatings.
I am about to boost my s2k. From what I have read in this thread, s2k tranny WONT hold anything over 500whp?
Are you guys breaking them at the track??
What is the solution if I want to run more than 500whp?
I don't want to spend 10k and one day later I do a 40mph roll and break my tranny lol.
