I'm so ready to get a different trans. I planned on doing the v160, but not if it can't take the high rpm abuse.

I spoke with with another shop that said they broke 3 of them as well. Its not looking good for those that want to rev deep into the 9k-10k range.

Even the ones by Jacks will break. Stock or not, the V160 can't take the high rpm/high hp beatings.

I am about to boost my s2k. From what I have read in this thread, s2k tranny WONT hold anything over 500whp?

Are you guys breaking them at the track??

What is the solution if I want to run more than 500whp?

I don't want to spend 10k and one day later I do a 40mph roll and break my tranny lol.

The stock trans ca handle more than 500hp. I drive it at 600whp for 2.5 years rolling races and such. My tires gave a little so that helped.
