Default Variable Pressure Regulator

Does anybody make a variable pressure fuel regulator (30-60 psi) based on 0-5 volts or any kind of analog even digital signal?

Do you mean a sensor? Try www.coleparmer.com. They make very reliable scientific instruments.

Interesting idea. I assume what you mean is to replace the mechanical FPR with one that uses the MAP (or other pressure sensor) signal to adjust fuel pressure (sort of like how a drive-by-wire throttle works instead of a cable).

I didn't see any in a Google search but I suspect there are units used in other industries that would be suitable.

Another question is why? Not saying it isn't a good idea. Just interested.

I thought that that's what he was asking at first. Ford uses one of these on the Focus Zetec engine. I believe that it is a combo fuel pressure sensor and fuel pressure regulator because it is a 5 wire design.
