Installing fuel Pressure gauge sensor- help needed.
A while back I purchased a radio door gauge assembly from Rick H. I had Rick put a Nordskog electronic fuel pressure gauge in this assembly, but I don't know where to install the sensor. The S2000 has a short (1.5'-2') piece of rubber fuel line that goes between the steel lines going to fuel rail and fuel tank. I believe they did it this way to leave a flexible point between the engine and steel lines attached to the firewall. I had thought about splicing a T in this rubber hose, but a salesperson from Summit said that the fuel pressure is to high and I would be creating a fire hazzard. I know air conditioner type hoses use rubber hoses with crimped fittings and they can handle a lot of pressure. Is there anything like that availble for what I am doing? What are the alternatives? Once I pass this obstacle, I plan on making a custom bracket to fasten the sensor to the right of the engine in the area of the ABS pump/actuator. To go between the sensor and factory fuel line, I thought about using stainless steel braided line with the 1/8 NPT fitting on the sensor end.
Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions on how I can do this.
Thanks in advance.:
