VitTuned S2000 Project Begins
Finally got caught up... some more details about the final build.
Those power figures are on 92 octane Oregon junk fuel.
- Deatschwerks DV2 1200cc injectors
- Deatschwerks DW300 fuel pump
- HKS 76mm exhaust
- PRL Motorsports turbo manifold, intercooler, piping, downpipe.
- Comp Turbo CT4X-5862 .82 a/r
- Turbosmart Hypergate-45 wastegate w/ 3psi spring
- Turbosmart RacePort BOV
- AEM Fuel rail & FPR (60psi base pressure)
- Exedy Hyper Single clutch
- Our own vacuum block
Some general thoughts:
- The 1200cc injectors are working fantastic, at the 472whp power level they are @ 67% duty cycle. We will break 500 (which is our goal) on E85 at 15-16psi for sure. Maybe, just maybe, we'll be able to squeeze a couple more lbs out of it (pipe dreams, lol).
- The fuel pump is still on stock wiring, not upgraded to get 14v. There's room for more power by upping the fuel pump output.
- A couple people have asked me about the torque up & down -- I had a limited amount of time on the dyno as I had a customer to take care of, so I was adjusting the boost control PID settings and didn't have them quite how I liked them yet, got it all cleaned up on the street today.
- People have noted "why such slow spool", answer is -- it's not actually slow spool, but a very fast ramp rate on the Pack to keep the cooldown period between runs low due to time constraints (see above note). Later that night I did two street pulls, one in 3rd and one in 4th. 3rd gear has target boost @ ~5300 rpm and 4th is around ~5100 rpm, so basically shift the torque curve over about 1000 rpm's.

Some turbo noises, PRL did a fantastic job putting the kit together.
