Default Vortech Install Question

So I installed my Vortech kit this weekend. Two very long days, and the car is running.

We followed the instructions to the T.

The only problem so far is the Aftercooler doesn't seem to fit quite right and my hood is lifting up a little on the drivers side.

What did I miss?
And what can I do to correct the problem?

thanks

Mitch

Hey Mitch, James here with the same year and color, and SAME setup, but no problem like this, maybe u got the coupler silicone things switched on the throttle body and the SC because they do swithc around, and it should be leaned down in the front some but not much, also if it's popping up, check ur hose lenght on ur feed and return to the aftercooler because if they are long they may be pushing the front end of it upwards, cause it to hit ur hood. Make sure u check this because if not it will damage ur hood, and u dont need that. Good luck, let me know anything else, i installed mine myself over 2 weeks so just PM me if anything comes up. Also, did u remember to get under the car and tighten the lock nut to the adjustable pulley on the Super charger with a 19mm wrench. make sure u do after u drive it a little or it will vibrate loose, i know from experience. GOod luck!

edited for space
James,

thanks, that was it. on of the Siliocne sleeves is much stiffer than the other. I swapped them and now the hood is fine. after working on the car all weekend. I just couldn't see
the forest for the trees.

No hood damage. I drove home really slow (no tune yet) with the hood latch popped (only 4 miles)

Now it closes wit no issues

thanks again

Mitch

and yes we tightened up the tensioner pulley
