Vortech Question
Hey guys i noticed some Vortech kits come with the smaller intercoolers (im not sure if thats what its called so heres a pic)
(stole this picture from someone here but this is also the part installed on my car)

And other kits come with big intercoolers like this picture..

My questions are...
1. Are these the same components just different size?
2. If so, can i purchase the bigger intercooler to replace the smaller unit without any heavy modification?
Thanks in advance guys!
Robert

Vortech kits come with a heat exchanger (think radiator) and not an intercooler. I wouldn't want you to buy an air to air intercooler and be screwed.
You should install the kit first and see if heat soak is a major issue. If it is then you should look into finding a larger heat exchanger for it. Keep in mind that putting a larger unit up front will also block airflow to your car's radiator.
There should be a ton of articles on this topic btw. The "SEARCH" button is your friend.
