Hey guys how's it going. I searched and found some old results so maybe some if you guys can chime in.

I bought a used vortech kit a couple months ago. Up to yesterday it's been amazing. Stock low boost kit.

I went somewhere to eat dinner yesterday, and when I came back out and started my car my fuel pump was making a ridiculous whining noise. It was actually drowning out the supercharger noise. It did that the whole way home and my car was running in the low 13's for my air fuel when it normally is in the 10-12's.

This morning I start my car and no noise but it's still running lean where as it wasn't before.

Do you think anything is wrong with the fuel pump? Should I switch to a different brand? So confused!

 

You've answered your own questions. Replace it before you hurt the motor.

 

New fuel pump. Assuming its a walbro that's how mine sounded when it went bad. Mine also pulsates loud with that whining noise.
