Hey I'm not gonna laugh if you can fix my problem for under a buck I was assuming washer, but figured I'd double check. for the idea. I'm willing to try it.
Try it out. I would like some positive feedback from other people to justify this as a definitive solution.

I tried different thicknesses in washers, but I have to tell you....my end result was running about 13.5-14 before on average down to 12-12.5 now after I added the washer. You might make me change my mind about selling this kit. Can anyone name a reason that this is a bad idea?

Thank you for a temporary fix if nothing else.

did you notice your idle being leaner? after putting a good amount of miles on it...

when I hit the gas it's MUCH richer....12-12.5 which is great
as soon as I let off the gas it jumps to about 14.5-15 and even idles at around those numbers. It seems to have made the whole thing VERY touchy. The lean got leaner and the rich got richer. AMAZING throttle response now though.

No, the conditions you are describing is what my experience has been with my Vortech kit for 100% of the time I've had it. Idle + partial throttle at around 14.5ish. From what I understand, this is normal.

I have been thinking on this alot lately. I can honestly tell you that the only negative this mod will have is that if your fuel lines aren't secure enough, someone's may pop one off. Just make sure they are tight and you will have zero problems. But if someone else has any input please share.

While the amount of pressure added to the rail is not negligible, it is nowhere near enough to for me to think it would cause any other kind of trouble. If you understand how the FMU works, >1/8" resistance layer is a very safe modification.

I'd like to see some other people that I saw complain about their Vortech kit being lean try this out. I have had this fix on my car for about 2 months now with 0 problems.

I'm just worried about it being so darn lean now under that 0-20% throttle range. As soon as it gets past the 20% mark the AFR drops down A LOT. so is it really safe to run the car that lean? I was richer before at that throttle range.

I have idled between 14-15 the whole time I've had my O2 sensor on the car. Cruising usually hovers 14-15 as well (this is the normal A/F for many NA cars). The second I pass about 25% throttle the mixture goes rich(er). It has been this way since I put the Vortech unit on. I actually just backed the size of my washer down as the thing kept getting more rich every day I drove it (don't know how to explain it). I am now down to a washer that is about 1/16" and I never see a number over 13 at WOT.

I wish I had known this. I added my Vortech SC without any dyno work or tuning and it running lean caused me to develope a knock. At least it gave me an excuse to get a nice build.
