What your doing is adding pre load to the spring. The Comptech fpr has an adjustment bolt on top that compresses the spring down as you screw it in to achive the same thing. Or you can replace the spring with a stiffer one for more tension this way.

I didnt realize the Vortech FMU wasnt adjustable.

Also FYi -I just found after talking to CT Engineering that the Ap2 FPR from Comptech has not only a stiffer spring but a larger piston on the bottom portion of the fpr for a quicker ramp up of fuel delivery with the f22, thought this would be good info for anyone that is considering purchasing a CT FPR. I'm actually looking for a used Ap2 fpr for myself if anyone has one for sale?
