Walboro 255 install on a 2006
Hi guys, I'm hoping to get some ideas here about how to modify the little plastic tube that connects the outlet of the aftermarket fuel pump to the inlet of the hanger. It's a 2006, so the Walboro 255 pump is 1/4 to 1/2 an inch longer than the stock one, so it is not simply a direct replacement. I had installed a Walboro a few years ago when I did the supercharger and it had held up okay until now, however a few months ago the car cut out while driving normally, and I traced it to a leak between the pump and hanger. I managed to ghetto-rig it back together for now, however I was wondering if anyone knows the "correct" way to install the pump so that it lasts without leaking.
The way I installed it before was by cutting off the top part of the white pipe and removing the flange about 3/8" from the top so that I could insert the pipe further into the hanger inlet.
Thanks!
