Ditto. My father and I own a business together and our estimated witholding was off and I'm paying in about $7k which is about $2k more than I planned gotta love how the govmnt can spend your money for you.

Yeah...and that is after already having a butt-ton of taxes taken out each month. I gotta buy a house this year so that Uncle Sam will stop raping me!

exactly. I withold all year an estimated amount based on last year... I knew we made more and would have a chunk to pay in at the year end but I was off in my estimation of that chunk. I'm looking to buy a house this year too, at least its a buyers market in the housing sector these days

Update.

It turned out not to be the pump but the "Vortech" supplied small hose clamp used in the tank. It was loose when I pulled the pump Every time I turned the screw it would pop internally and loose tension.

Diagnosis: A bad hose clamp.

It was recirculating the gasoline in the tank and not putting out the pressure needed.

I went down to the marine hardware store and picked up some new hose clamps that are far stronger appearing.

The pump is apparently still good.
