Sorry for bumping an old post, but s2knoob89 after you did that setup did you just connect the red wire to an ignition wire and the black wire to a ground? Or did you then run a relay off of those two wires coming out

You have to run it to a relay or it will get constant battery power and run even when the car is off.

Internal relay? Can you post a pic? Or are you talking about the connector?

A hermetically sealed connector (like what the factory carrier uses) is recommended.

And or who has had any problems with running the way above ?

Are the factory pins large enough gauge to run the wires internally to it and out from it ?

Here you guys go (only 4 months late)...

Shot of the top of the housing. 14g wire.

With the cover removed:

The more I look at it, the more it looks like it was just sliced into right above the connector instead of de-pinned and ran straight into the connector the way I thought it was. I had this done at a shop and haven't had any problems out of it. They could have replaced the wiring inside the housing, but I haven't pulled it to check (and I won't unless I have a problem).

Hope that helps.

In hindsight, I would recommend using the ScienceofSpeed kit. Much less headache and worrying. Do it once, do it right.
