walbro 400lph, not plug and play
I've read about lots of problems with DW, and so I'm not ever going to use them.
It's consumer preference.
True, but this ordeal could have been avoided if there wasn't a low-brow stab.
I've read of issues with just about any manufacturer out there, too. It's how they handle themselves when faced with an issue that's important.

In all fairness unless u work for them who cares what he says about them. Someone could say Bosch sucks or full blown blows it wouldnt hurt my feelings. I'd say sucks u had a bad experience but mine has been great and move on.
Ur acting like u have a stake in the company.
Back on topic. Walbro sucks for selling a pump that is not a drop In replacement like the fb340
I do have a stake in the company, I've been a sales associate for almost 2 years, now. That's nothing I'll hide.
I'm on this forum because I am a Honda enthusiast and an S2000 owner. Nothing more, but if a question pops up that I can help with or make a suggestion I don't mind sharing my experience.
I don't like seeing anything posted negatively about any company, competitor or not...because I know what it is like having experienced both sides and know that the company usually doesn't get the fair end of the stick on the forums.

That's a first for me.
DW isn't difficult to get a hold of and there are at least 30 forums I post on as part of my job under a DW screen name. I wasn't making the 1% number up. There are thousands of DW pumps in cars right now, there have been less than 1% returned and of the returns half have tested within spec and were returned due to installer error.
Hearsay is fun, and it's amazing how easy the my "friend's, friend's, cousin's, brother-in-law's college roommate" testimonials get turned into "fact".

DW operates and markets towards a lower end of the market compared to ID; I dont know about compared to walbro because I havent looked at dw pump prices as they dont interest me at all.

Every company has issues, even Injector Dynamics. It really is how they handle the issues. I among many others had our ID16000s recalled. I spent 6 hours on the dyno trying to figure out what was going on. Car would change from pull to pull without any changes to the map. Injector Dynamics did step up and replace everbodies injectors, I went with 2000s. I did loose all the tuning money though.
Walbro has had it's fair share of problems too.
