Thumbs down WARNING TO AEM WATER/METH GUYS

Well the other day as I was in BOOST with METH spraying, all was fine then as soon as I let off the gas it started to blink twice and repeat. I did some investigating and it seems there was an "Open circuit" somewhere between the battery and the pump. I also noticed that when I switched the master switch on, I did not hear the usual humming sound that I normally hear (that is the unit self-testing), anyway I did'nt have time to pull my fender so I called AEM and tried to disconnect the battery etc, and when I did I once again put the master switch in the "on" position and the Green LED lit up once then went off, which is an indication of a normal operation, everything is ok.

Well I still did not hear the humming so I pressed the test button on the controller and it was showing it was spraying, but I there was no fluid going into the nozzle (I disconnected it and put it in an empy water bottle), so the system was telling me everything was normal and the Light was lighting up like everything was normal, but there was no fluid, so even if this was set up with the AEM EMS and the "Boost safe" output was wired up, the ECU would think it was receiving METH, you go WOT and seconds later BOOOOOOM

I wonder if after it gives you the warning several times it will kind of get screwed up if you dont fix it?

Anyway tomorow I am pulling off my fender to see whats what and to be honest I dont know if I am going to continue to use it, unless may I can get some kind of flow sensor where it actually detects liquid, or on my new setup I may use the small nozzle after I am tuned on pump gas alone use the small amount as detonation suppresion?

Be careful out there guys

There is one thing that you did in your testing that would render all results erroneous. Think about it.

This is why I would never put a meth kit on w/o a flow meter. Unfrotunatly the only company to use a flow meter is Aquamist so you would have to make your own if you don't want to pay for theirs.

I re "crimped" all connections and even hooked the pump directly to the battery, nothing happening, somehting must be wrong with the pump, well its OFFICIAL guys, I am no LONGER BOOSTED

techinically I am but if I go WOT my motor is done so I am Lightly driving the car around town out of BOOST. I am sending the METH kit back to AEM to see what they can do, but I will not be re-installing the METH until my new setup, so Its kinda bittersweet, I cant take the Greddy S out for one more spin, but Ill be back stronger

BTW My top was slashed this morning and my Convertible frame is jacked

The shurflow pump has a pressure switch on it. Try bypassing it for a second and see if it fires. DO NOT leave it like that. The pump will explode. A simple pressure switch Tee'd off the water line is a good safety too.
