my car weighed with the vortech sc on was 2850 +/- 20 lbs.
Take your car to a weighing station if you really want to know! The car's crub weight is only an estimate. There are slight variances in all the components (acceptible margin of error), Hence it will change the actual weight of every car.

The weight of an S2000 can be PLUS/MINUS the weight of fuel at any given time. This can be as much as 100 lbs. Weighing his car isn't going to get him any closer to knowing how much a Vortech kit is unless he has the exact same amount of fuel on board as you did when you weighed yours and this is assuming one car isn't modded up already. And +/- 20 lbs is quite a margin when he's trying to find out what something in the 40 lb range weighs.
Trust me. I weighed the full shipping box and then again when all the supercharger contents were out of the box. The box and all the packing weighed approx. 20 lbs. The "before" weight was 60 lbs. My error would be whatever error my bathroom scale has, which, I'll bet is better than the +/-20 for weighing the car.

last time I measured, my car weighed 2950 with me in. without telling my weight *wink* *wink* it's about 2790 lbs 1/4 tank gas. With that information, I would have no idea how much SC weighs. but what's the purpose of this? trying to figure out if it's going to disturb weight distribution? how heavy your car's going to be?
as you add SC, you also take few parts out. for one, airbox. I think whole unit weighs around 10lbs. also, fuel pump and fuel regulator... ehh.. for vortech that is...

Nibble's got some good points. Vortech goes in, some parts come out. Not sure what the purpose of this exercise is, but 30 lbs here nor there isn't going to make a huge difference to anything. You change things more than this going from a full gas tank to an empty one.

I was concerned with weight distribution and how much extra weight would be hanging in front of the front axles. I do not have either kit at this point, just weighing my options (literally).
I have modified many cars including 3 Supra MKIV TT's, 3rd gen RX7, CRX SI, Integra GSR etc...
For every modification there are trade offs, just figuring out what is involved with the S/C kits vs. Turbos.
Thank you for all of your replies.
