wideband options

well i pulled my gauges today to add hoods to them and my AEM UEGO gauge has literally melted itself to destruction. somehow it still works but the sensor harness connector on the back of the gauge has run so hot it turned brown and actually melted part of the gauge!!!
anyway, on to a replacement. i am not against buying another AEM gauge, but i've been thinking of buying the prosport wideband as it will match my other two gauges that i already have. i have seen the innovative one but i'm not so sure i like it as much - i hate how you have to wire in power for the sensor as well as the gauge.
does anybody have any insight for why i should/shouldnt go with the AEM/prosport/innovative/other widebands?

i'm curious. Do you think this would be a concern for a fire hazard??
I have mine in the a-pillar

LOL when is that baby gonna be ready.im gonna do the wideband and the 550's tomorrow i hope
And that's going to be with a weak ass Honda Tranny
But everything else built
So in other words the car will be off the road once again next year around September with a blown tranny. that's my blow-up month
i can take pictures tomorrow.
this is a SERIOUS concern for me in terms of a fire hazard. the outside ends of the sensor harness connector are browned out. thats what confuses me though - i figure if there is an electrical problem i'd get power wires running too hot - not sensor wires.
interesting right?
