X3 on simple green, just be sure to dilute it properly! That stuff WILL eat paint as concentrate

not sure about your setup, but i would strongly recommend running some sort of oil cooler which the relocation kit can easily run one inline on one of the hoses. there are plenty of these kits around and i havent heard of many cases like this. once you get it right youll never have to think twice about it.

the plan was to try and fit a filter straight on the block without a cooler. this a bad idea?

Not a bad idea; you'll be fine without the factory cooler. I'd be curious to see how much space you have between your downpipe and the filter, however.

my downpipe is on top. i pulled everything today, made a huge mistake and ruined the honda stud for the relocation adaptor to the block.. so ill have to order another one fml. but there is enough room for a filter. tomorrow i will go shop for one that will fit. (i have heard good things about WIX filters from NAPA, i plan to stick with those)

I wonder if ATP can make a cover for the filter or if you can use heat wrap around the filter then put heat tape over it to hold it together.
