shopped filters today. you CAN fit a filter on without the cooler. the problem is you wont have enough room to take the filter off without taking the mani/turbo off every time. IMO the best option is to stick with the relocation kit. my next step is to shave some off the block bolt, put in a new seal and tighten the hell out of it.

thanks, i already went with the simple green. it worked pretty well. i pressure washed it first, then hit it with the simple green... rinsed, repeated a few times. picked up a new oil bolt which came shorter than the previous one (which is good). should recieve the new seal tomorrow and will start her up and make sure everything else is good.

I remember seeing pics of it. That was a mess! Got her back together and she fired right up. Little oil residue smoking from the header wrap but nothing major. Going to replace it with black wrap to match the bay a bit better. Will be a while till I can get on the dyno...tuner is busy!
