I'm debating whether or not I should cut the dash. I'm turbo-ed so I would like to have the piece of mind of a few gauges but the Alcantara is such a nice piece I'm hesitant to put a hole in the middle of it.
I can integrate my Defi Display for exhaust temp into the radio controls and maybe get a Stack gauge for all other parameters besides A/F which would be on the A-pillar. Hmmmm what do you guys think?
^^^ BTW, for those that don't know, this will be Ideugine's interior.
Anyway, now for some updates. I cut into the Alcantara for the first time. This stuff is definitely so nice to work with. It just feel so solid. Not sure if it's worth the exotic price tag, but it definitely has it's qualities that the off brand doesn't offer.
So, last time I left you with a teaser shot of the prototype handle. Well, the pattern has been finalized and now I can crank them out in just about any material that's stretchy. An alcantara set is coming next.
Center console has been completed. The elbow pad get a strip of Alcantara down the middle to complete the lines of the aluminum trim.
I used perforated leather for the sides to match up with the e-brake handle which saddens me to say that after five attempts, I can't seem to replicate the ASM version
The boot is of course Alcantara
Everything flows really nicely and feels super sexy.
Stay tuned for more updates hopefully early next week. Door panels are next.
