true they dont use top dollar for parts, but theres a ass load of labor there to fix that, and given the cars value has dropped, whats that car worth 10-12k? remember, there are a few ways to determine a totaled s2k, and the one they used on my buddies s2k would have most of them totaled. they take how much its salvage value is, which is there guess for what it will sell for at auction, and add into that the cost to repair. if thats over the book value, then totalled. i gaurantee that cars totalled.

I did a quick estment, every thing us on the high side.
Body labor@ 60 hours= 2,604
paint labor@ 20 hours= 840
paint supplies@20 hours 480
parts 1,775
grand total= 5699
note, this do not include any mechanical time or parts.
7 grand is a high side est. It's a flip of a coin from
here, could fall either way. Depending on how much the body shop is hurting and how much the isurance company wants to pay. Cause by law they are required to give you the preplacement vaule of the car and not blue book.
