CR Bracing
Another thing for me to buy as well!
Not sure if there's any other parts that a JDM spec car could nick off of the CR. Can't take the steering rack, the kit & wheels aren't my thing and i'll have more power via turbo in the future.
Anything else changed on the CR?

Lip spoiler and wing have a claimed 60% greater DF than a naked S.
All adds up to 6 second advantage at the track according to Sport Compact Car during their "Greatest Suspension Test Ever!" covered in the June 2008 issue.

someone needs to figure out how to put a softop into the cr.....i'd pay money for that
Obviously you'd have to replace the "plate" discussed above, with the plate that is welded to the soft top frame, but otherwise theres nothing else to get in the way, unless there are also changes to the CR in the roll hoop area.
I suspect all the "you can't put a soft top in a CR" talk came from the fact that the CR didn't come with one, therefore people just assumed it couldn't happen, and used that bracing as a reason (an excuse).
I agree it doesn't look like the bar would block the top, at the worst it might sit a little higher. As for installing it, I'd say the biggest issue is that almost undoubtedly the roof would have to be removed first. ...Sort of a big job for whatever benefit you'd reap from added the brace.

the type S which is basically the CR has a softop in japan
The TypeS actually has slightly different spring rates / damping rates -- which are softer than CR's. Also, you can opt to keep the leather interior (instead of the CR seat materials).
The softtop was kept, and the rear brace does not exist on the TypeS.
