Weird question ... hypothetically, If he went to court, would someone bring up the fact that he didn't have his third breaklight installed?
GL with the insurance companies though ... keep your head up high brother!

Stop negotiating and get a lawyer already. Can't you see they are screwing you? They love the fact you haven't gotten an attorney yet. You are playing ball on their field and guess what...they have decades of experience and are pros, hell...Hall of Famers at this game. Its like facing Greg Maddux as a ball boy. Wiff wiff wiff. A lawyer evens the playing field and is your DH.
You got hit hard. Not only is the car a complete mess, but your back is too and will never be the same again.

It will be close to being totaled but it is repairable. I have seen worse. It will depend if anything in the drivtrain broke like the diff. I wouldn't want it back though. Also, if you want to bring it back, you will have to do it yourself. And that is not cheap. 500 to 1k bucks. The damage needs to be 80 to 85% of value. Get your own insurance company involved, they will fight it for you and then you can go after dimminished value and sell the car. Welcome to the world of insurance.
Yes, get your insurance involved. They go to bat for u. Plus you need to get diminished return like david1 said. props to him on that. 7400 to fix all that damage? WOW, I know very little about estimates... but something tells me they are ow balling you by A LOT. tell them you want more than 1 estimate. get at least 2 more and one from a honda dealership. have to fight really hard to get them to pay a honda dealership to fix it...worth a try though.
I think Jon Boys's advice sounds solid and respectable.
I hope you heal and I'm glad you're okay!!
Your car was tastefully modded it seems. If it is totalled, let me know what parts you are parting out and where are you located?

I'll find out tomorrow hopefully, finally got the car towed to back to the best body shop I could find. I'll keep you guys posted.
Just wondering if it does get totaled what would you guys suggest for a replacement in the price range of 18 to 22 if you guys were in my position?
Another S, Evo I can't stand the rear quarter panel to the rear end
, Sti?
I guess a couple more thousand and I can look at a e46 M3 or a 996 C2?
