That a good combination. unique.
but i like the AE86's with the 4AGZE 20V engine with individiual trottle bodies!!! and it stays all toyota.
wonder why toyota seemed to stop making these kind of engines?

The "Z" indicates to my experience that it's supercharged (like the 1st gen MR2's). My friend is looking to purchase a car with the 20valve in a FWD Corolla sleeper...

I wish it wasn't in that chassis, but I'm certain if it's built/tuned right, it's probably enough to give me a good run, perhaps even hand me mine.
FWIW, if I follow the history of Group A racing (the predecessor to the JGTC) which was dominated by GTR's, TRD experimented with lots of different concepts starting with...
- a built 4AGE engine with full race parts which put out about ~180 to 190ps at 8400 rpms however I don't believe the power is rated at the wheels. Compared to most street-tuned bolt-on modified 4AGE's may be putting out between 140hp to 160hp (with work exceeding mere bolt-ons). Pistons, Carillo rods, knifed crank and stronger/lighter valvetrain may allow the motor to spin to 8100-8200 rpms. The 4AGE is a very good platform and capable of a lot more, pursued in either NA or FI routes.
- the 20 valve variation of the 4AG was an involved task and I'm not particularly familiar with it.

The motor was detuned to allow for a 9k redline for reliability.

A super powerful all-motor route for a 4AGE (16V) or (20V) model can get quite pricey, however I've always wondered if a built 3SGTE would do better...

4AG is a great little high reving engine.
its only down fall is the small displacement.
Its a YAMAHA designed head and compared to something like a B16 the valves are tiny.
I have seen 600Hp at the wheels in a worked up 4AGZ (with a T78?)
some crazy guy up in Reno, Nevada.
