At lest you're manning up and admitting fault for everything

I always cringe when I see / hear about people with under five years of driving experience buying the S2000. It's a serious test of self control - I know that back when I was 19, I would have likely failed that test.

Whatever you end up buying, be safe with it!

Very glad to hear you both are safe. I too was in a very traumatic accident, due to black ice. My fears would trigger with any weather change ie clouds, windy roads, or even worse Rain. Seeing professional help is a good decision.

I come to appreciate speed and the every changing road condtions. In doing so I purchased an M3 and a S2000 FR Cars. With the help of good friends I've learned to overcome some of my fears slowly, in fact I'm becoming a frequent track enthusist.

I certainly hope you get better physically and mentally.

Mike

Here's a good quote to live by:

"Susan: Well, Ricky Bobby is not a thinker. Ricky Bobby is a driver. He is a doer, and that's what you need to do. You don't need to think. You need to drive. You need speed. You need to go out there, and you need to rev your engine. You need to fire it up. You need to grab ahold of that line between speed and chaos, and you need to wrestle it to the ground like a demon cobra."

All joking aside, You'll get back in the swing of things. Helps to be honest.

Good luck on your recovery.

Again, another S protects its occupants from a horrible crash FTW.

Good thing no one was hurt. From the pictures it looks like a pretty hard frontal impact.

Kudos to you for being an adult, learning your lesson, and sharing it with everyone here. I'm sure you'll get back behind the wheel with a new respect for cars.

Man thats CrazY!!! to think I had just seen that car a few days earlier to pick up those rims.

Ive been driving my S since I was 16. And Im a few months from 19. Ive never wreaked any of my (5) cars. Its all about how much self control you have. Temptations will arise but most the time you just got to suck it up and think about incidents like this. Ill admit I have my moments when I get rilled up and do stupid shit. but over the years of driving Ive learned 95% of the time to take it easy.

But I really hope yall have a speedy recovery. I know how traumatizing accident can be.

I was Rear ended in my S by a 850 volvo wagon, going 55mph and he didnt touch the brakes and I was at a stop. I got pushed underneath a Honda Cr-V probably one of the most scariest moments of my life. After the wreak for about the first couple of months I was terrified of coming to a stop at a light or stop sign, because I would think every car would get close to hitting me.

I'm surprised no moderators have chimmed in.

Glad to hear your woman and you are ok. like many have said before, the car can be replaced. your lives can't.

It takes alot of heart for you to admit you were at fault, not the car or mother nature. I give you props for that

good luck, hope everything works out, dont leave our beloved community, and hopefully you can get another s2k, and make it just as nice!!!
